What is a BEST course?
Every year BEST Coimbra organizes an Academic Course about Technology, open to all European students of universities belonging to the BEST network. These courses are one of the best chances that you will ever get to combine travelling with your education. They're aimed to provide knowledge and/or develop skills of participants. You’ll share ideas with students coming from different countries and learn everything about Portuguese culture and Coimbra. BEST Courses are taught in English and are delivered by professionals, who have either obtained an academic certification and have, at least, a university level degree on the course's subject, or been employed in the same field.

Our Course
This year the topic of the Course will concern additive manufacturing (AM), commonly known as 3D printing - the technology that has allowed us to transform digital designs into tangible objects and turn them into reality. But our course is much more than that: You’ll learn more about the corporate world, have company visits and of course… Get to know Portugal, do some fun activities and go on an amazing weekend trip!
Coimbra is a city located in the center of Portugal, bathed by the river Mondego, known as the City of Students. The University of Coimbra is the oldest university in Portugal, and one of the oldest in Europe, with 731 years of history. With a lot of traditions and a unique culture, Coimbra will create a special connection with you and make you feel saudade.

BEST Coimbra
BEST Coimbra is the Local Group of the University of Coimbra, in activity since 1992 at FCTUC (Science and Technology Faculty). Since then, it’s been our prime mission to promote our University all around Europe and promote extra-curriculum development focused on an international mind to our students. Locally, we offer them Soft skills Workshops and an approach with the job market with events such as jobs fairs, training sessions or Engineering Competitions.
